INSPIRED LAB (“we”, “us”) explains below how the Rental Home Baseline Android app handles your information. The app lets you record the condition of a home with photos, videos and notes and compare records from different times.
Article 1. Information handled and its purposes
| Information | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Home nickname, rooms, items and lifecycle stage | Organize records | Your device |
| Condition, notes, record time and photo/video references | Record and compare conditions | Your device |
| Selected or captured photos | Attach photos to records and display them | Your device or the location selected through the system picker |
| Captured videos, including audio recorded by the system camera | Attach videos, display thumbnails and play recordings | Shared Movies/Rental Home Baseline album on your device |
| Generated summary PNG | Share records you select | Temporary app cache |
The current app does not require a street address, lease agreement, contacts, account, password or precise location. Information you place in photos, videos or notes may nevertheless identify you or others. Please include only what you need for your records.
The app currently stores records locally and does not send them to a developer server. It has no account, developer cloud synchronization, analytics, advertising SDK, crash reporting or telemetry in this version.
Article 2. Photos, videos and device permissions
The app uses the Android system photo or document picker to access photos you select. Taking a photo uses the camera permission. Older Android versions may require storage permission to save captured photos. Captured originals may be saved to the Rental Home Baseline album in the shared Pictures collection.
You may refuse or revoke permissions in Android app settings. This limits the corresponding capture or attachment function. Removing a photo reference from a record does not necessarily delete the original from your photo app.
Article 3. Video recordings and attachments
You can attach up to six photos and videos combined per record. Video recording opens the system camera app. Recordings may include audio captured by that app; its permissions and settings control audio capture. Original videos are saved in Movies/Rental Home Baseline. The app stores video references with the record and generates thumbnails on your device. It does not send recordings or thumbnails to our servers.
Playback opens a video player on your device. Original videos are not included in PNG summaries; you can choose to share them separately through the Android share sheet. Removing an attachment or app record does not delete the original video, shared copies or backups. Delete those separately in the relevant device or service. Recordings may contain voices, faces or other personal information; check them before sharing.
Article 4. Sharing and external services
When you select records for sharing, the app creates a PNG summary in its cache and opens the Android share sheet. You choose the receiving app and recipient. The app does not automatically send the file to us.
Check the selected photos, videos and notes for faces, addresses, documents or other personal details before sharing. A receiving app or recipient handles the copy under its own terms and applicable law. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete those copies.
You may separately send information to us when asking for support. Such correspondence is not an automatic upload of local app records. For website inquiries, see the website privacy policy. Direct email inquiries contain the sender address and whatever you choose to include.
Article 5. Retention, deletion and backups
Local records remain until you delete them. You can delete records in the edit screen, or remove app-specific data through Android Settings → Apps → Rental Home Baseline → Storage → Clear storage. Uninstalling removes app-specific data according to Android behavior. There is no account to close or developer server copy to delete.
Captured originals in shared Pictures or Movies, copies held by recipients and backups made by a photo service may remain. Delete those separately, including photo-app trash where applicable. We cannot restore records for which we hold no copy.
When a new share image is created, the app attempts to delete PNGs older than 24 hours from its share cache. This is not an automatic deletion scheduled for 24 hours after creation. Cached images may remain until another image is created or you or Android clears the cache. Clear cache in the app storage settings removes cached files; Clear storage also removes app records. Menu names vary by device.
The app excludes its private records from Android automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. This does not delete or control originals in shared Pictures or Movies, copies made by photo services, or copies exported separately by you. Manage these copies through the relevant device or service.
Article 6. Advertising and additional processing
This version has no advertising SDK and does not collect an advertising identifier through an advertising SDK. If an advertising feature is introduced, we will disclose the provider, information, purposes, retention, international transfers and available choices before the relevant processing begins, and obtain consent where required.
If the way we handle information changes, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before the change takes effect.
Article 7. Protection of on-device information
Records are stored in app-specific storage, photos and videos are accessed through system permissions and selection controls, and the current app does not maintain a developer server copy. Sharing grants access to the file through Android system mechanisms.
Protect your device with a screen lock and current security updates. Photos and videos in shared storage may be accessible to other apps with the relevant permissions or to photo synchronization services you enable. These storage locations have different access controls from app-specific records.
Article 8. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent, subject to applicable law. A legal guardian or authorized representative may act on your behalf.
Send your request to the privacy contact below, stating the action requested and information that helps us locate your records, such as the email address used for an inquiry, the approximate inquiry date or the request ID. We may request the minimum additional information needed to verify your identity or authority to act. Do not send identification documents unsolicited.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot comply in full, we will explain the legal grounds, reasons and how to challenge the decision. Information subject to a correction or deletion request will not be used or disclosed until the request is resolved, except where permitted by law.
Withdrawal or deletion may prevent further responses to an inquiry. It does not prevent access to public website content. Records held only on your device and copies held by external recipients must be managed through the relevant device or recipient.
Article 9. Privacy contact
Contact us for privacy questions, complaints, requests concerning your rights or incident reports. Include “Privacy” in the subject and describe your request. We will review it and respond promptly; if additional time is necessary, we will explain the reason.
